We Love Bantayan Island so much that we went back here, after the typhoon Haiyan hit and left a great damage on this Island.

This time we stayed at Anika Island Resort.

Anika Island Resort, one of the most popular resorts in Bantayan Island. Rated as 3 star resort and a few minutes away from the Port.

The beachfront, garden and Restaurants are always clean. During our stay here I noticed that even early in the morning staffs are already cleaning around the resort.

The rooms are actually converted from recycled cargo containers, it was painted added a roof and a veranda. The interior was amazing that when you went inside the rooms you will never imagine that it was a cargo container.

We booked the Sunset Pool Side for P2,900 per night good for 2 persons with an extra mattress at P500.

Comfortable room with cozy two-single beds and veranda overlooking the swimming pool.
Each room is fitted with air conditioning and has a flat-screen TV with cable.

The toilet and bath comes with bath towels and free toiletries.
There is also hot and cold shower and the toilet has a bidet.
The water pressure was all good.

Overall, the room is comfortable and toilet and bath are very clean.

Night swimming is not allowed in the beach, instead we took a dip the pool.

You can also dine at Chloe's Cafe, where they offer local and international dishes.
Or you can also have your breakfast in your veranda or in your room since they offer Room service for guest who wish to dine in their rooms.

The best rooms are the Ocean view room for 3,500 a night. They have the very nice view where you can sit and relax with ocean breeze. The view is facing sunrise so you can stay in you room and while you wait for sunrise.

There is also a round trip shuttle to and from Hagnaya Port.
Additional amenities at this resort include complimentary wireless Internet access and concierge services.

We love the white sand beach here in Bantayan and the calm waters ideal for swimming.

Overall, I recommend Anika Island Beach Resort to anyone who is visiting Bantayan Island in Cebu.
The entire resort and the cottages are well-maintained and clean.
Great customer service.
And of course the beach is amazing!❤❤❤

Lovin' white sand beaches, where there's nothing to do than laze on the beach...

Bantayan Island is the one.

Bantayan Island is an island located in the Visayan Sea, Philippines. It is situated to the west of the northern end of Cebu island, across the Tañon Strait.

The island is administratively divided into three municipalities:

Bantayan (the largest municipality, covering the central part)
Madridejos (covering the northern portion)
Santa Fe (covering the eastern portion)

We were here few years back before typhoon Haiyan (local name: Yolanda) hit this town in November 2013. Though the island has been tortured by Yolanda, the beach regains its beauty.

Getting There:

Once you arrive in Cebu, head to Cebu North Bus Terminal.

We rode a taxi from Mactan International Airport to Cebu North Bus terminal.

Estimated travel time is 30mins. Around 150-200php.

From North Bus Terminal, ride a bus going to Hagnaya.

Hagnaya is the port in Northern Cebu where you will take a boat trip to Bantayan Island.

Estimated travel time is 3.5 - 4 hours depending on the traffic.

Bus trip will have 10-15 minute stop over for lunch/snack or restroom break.

Aircon bus is P170 while Non-Aircon bus is P132.

From Hagnaya Port, take a ferry bound to Santa Fe Port. Estimated time is 1hr and 30mins. Ferry ticket Costs P170 plus P10 terminal fee for one way.

From Santa Fe Port, there are tricycle that you can rent for getting around the island. There are also Bicycle that you can rent to explore the island. Bicycle rental is P150.

Most Resorts offer free transport service going to the resort from Santa Fe Port and vice versa.

Where to stay:

We stayed at Placid Beach resort.

If your main purpose is to go out enjoy the beach, this resort is for you.

We decided to stay with the same resort that we rent before since it is near the port. The last time that we went here we rented 2 rooms since we were a huge group. But time time its only the 3 of us, my sister and brother-in-law, we decided to get the room for 4.

The room has the 2 basic queen sized bed, aircon, hot and cold shower, refrigerator, no tv.

The room is P2,000 for overnight stay good for 4 persons.

The room is okay, nothing fancy on the room itself. Complete with your basic needs. Their bathroom is clean. It is very spacious inside plus there is a balcony outside each room.
